Fire & Ice Schedule of Events
Welcome to the Fire and Ice Winter Festival, a delightful celebration of all things winter in White Pine County! While this year’s festival may have a unique twist, it promises many events for all ages at various locations, such as the Nevada Northern Railway, Downtown businesses, Ward Mountain Recreation Area, Broadbent Park, and various local businesses. Plus, we will have a beautiful fireworks display two nights in a row.. Bring your family and friends for a weekend with sports, arts, food, drink, tournaments, live music, and more.

Friday, January 12th
8:00 Art Contest at Broadbent Park
9:00 am – 4:30 pm: Open Ceramics Painting at Desert Rose Ceramics
11:00 am – 4:00 pm: White Pine Public Museum is Open!
3:30 pm – 4:30 pm: Mural Walking Tour (Downtown Ely)
6:30 pm: Concert featuring Broken Compass at Bristlecone Convention Center
Saturday, January 13th
8:00 am: Bristlecone Birkebeiner Race at Ward Mountain
9:00 am – 4:30 pm: Open Ceramics at Desert Rose Ceramics
11:00 am – 4:00 pm: White Pine Public Museum is Open!
12:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Pool Tournament at Shooters Bar & Grill
1:00 pm: Steam Train Excursion through Robinson Canyon at Nevada Northern Railway
1:00 pm: Disc Golf Tournament after Birkebeiner at Veterans Park
2:00 pm: Movie at Central Theater
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Bowling Tournament at Sunset Lanes
4:30 pm: Fireworks Train departs at NNRY
5:30 pm – 7:30 pm: Escape Room with Friends and Family at Experience Escapes
6:00 pm: Fireworks off the train at NNRY
7:00 pm: Art Sculpture Bonfire at NNRY

9:00 am: Morning Hike at Cave Lake State Park

11:00 am – 3:00 pm: Horseshoe Tournament at Broadbent Park
11:00 am – 3:00 pm: Cornhole Tournament (Must Register Before Event) at Broadbent Park
12:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Disc Golfin’ at Veterans Park
2:00 pm: Movie at Central Theater
3:00 pm: Art Contest Ends & Displays Are Ready For Judging! at Broadbent Park
4:30 pm: WPMS Scavenger Hunt Prize Drawing at The Space
